Learn more about an EY internship.

  • Is an EY US internship required before transitioning into a long-term job position within EY?

Internships are not required but are always encouraged. We understand that not everyone has had the opportunity to pursue an EY internship, and participating in an EY internship will not affect the status of your application for a full-time role at the firm.

In any case, applicants are encouraged to pursue various activities that strengthen their interpersonal skills and work experience, including extracurricular activities, campus organizations, leadership opportunities and more.

  • Will submitting more than two applications to available EY US internships within a six-month period disqualify the candidate?

EY US offers a variety of career paths and opportunities, and with so many options, we understand it can be hard to choose. To have the best candidate experience, we encourage you to apply to no more than two positions within a six-month period.

If we are unable to consider you for the position to which you applied, a recruiter will review your application for eligibility for other positions. You may be contacted to gauge your interest in other opportunities at EY US.

  • What responsibilities do EY US interns have?

Under the guidance and coaching of our professionals, interns experience working on projects such as conducting internal control reviews on an audit, helping perform tax planning or even building a bot to help one of our teams work more efficiently.

Interns also hone important skills such as presenting and networking, while also learning about how to care for their physical, emotional, social and financial wellbeing. Throughout their internship, interns receive regular feedback, guidance and coaching from our professionals to help develop the skills they need to succeed.

  • How do I know which role to apply to that is best suited for my major and background?

We encourage all candidates to explore our majors mapping tool, where you can dive deeper into all of our service lines and industries to see where you might fit best.

  • Where can I learn more about campus events that EY US is hosting?

We recommend getting in touch with your campus recruiter (if known) or your university's career center to learn more about campus events. In the meantime, check out our EY Next Steps events hub.

  • How can I figure out who my campus recruiter is and how to connect with them?

EY US recruits top talent from a variety of schools and universities, some of which may or may not have a dedicated EY recruiter. We strongly encourage all students to connect with their career services center to learn more about employers on their campus and recruiters to connect with. Additionally, our Campus Sourcing Team recruits virtually from all campuses without a dedicated recruiter. You can also connect with EY recruiters on LinkedIn to stay updated!
